Pet Dental Cleaning in Summerville, SC
We are happy to provide routine dental cleaning services to healthy pets. We recommend any pets needing extractions seek care from a board-certified veterinary dentist.
Why is Pet Dental Care Important?
According to recent research, 70% of adult cats and 80% of adult canines have dental illnesses. In reality, most pet parents are unaware that their pet has dental problems. Bad smell, plaque buildup, excessive drooling, sore or bleeding gums when eating or biting, and a reduction in appetite are all indications that your furbaby’s teeth need to be examined by a veterinarian.
Every examination includes an oral examination to check for dental disease in the teeth and gums. During general anesthetic dental cleanings, we chart your pet’s teeth to look for periodontal pockets, increased mobility, and gum recession. To accomplish complete ultrasonic scaling and polishing of teeth, our veterinary technicians use cutting-edge equipment.
We will also discuss at-home dental care advice so that your efforts at home, together with annual dental care at Sweetspire Veterinary Clinic, can result in a long life of healthy oral care for your pet.
